Suite 101 is a one bedroom suite providing 780 sq. ft. of comfortable self contained living space. This suite features hardwood floors & stained glass windows throughout, with leather couches, antique & contemporary furniture and tasteful art & decorations. The living room offers a 3 piece couch set, flat screen digital TV, Teac stereo system and a dining table for 4 people. The kitchen is complete with custom cabinets, granite counter tops, new appliances including in-suite W/D and fully equipped with chef quality amenities. The large bright bedroom has a Stearns & Foster queen size mattress, Arts & Crafts bedroom dressers, bay window seating and a flat screen digital TV. There is a full bathroom with granite counter top vanity and claw foot bathtub & shower.

Located on the 1st floor of the house, suite 101 is a one bedroom apartment that has access to a front porch area that looks over the quite tree lined street of West 6th Avenue and the character heritage homes of this wonderful Kitsilano neighborhood. The porch features colourful flower boxes and a table and chairs for your use and enjoyment. Everything in this suite has been completely restored and upgraded to provide a balance of modern convenience and timeless heritage living.

The living room features a large bay window with the original 1912 hardwood floors, stained glass windows and wood burning fireplace. Furniture includes new leather couches, antique writing desk and select pieces of antique and contemporary furniture. With modern conveniences such as a 32” flat screen digital colour TV, DVD/IPOD/AMFM stereo system and private telephone/answering service. There is a selection of fine art, decorations and Indian carpets for added enjoyment and comfort.

The kitchen features custom fir wood cabinets, black granite counter tops, new appliances including electric stove, exterior vented range hood, full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and in-suite Washer/Dryer. Accessories include a toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, stainless steel pots & pans, quality dishware, a wide assortment of cups, glasses & stemware, stainless cutlery and a full selection of kitchen tools & chef knives. Mixing bowls, plastic storage containers, cutting boards and serving bowls & plates are included for those who want to entertain or enjoy extended stays.

The separate bedroom is large and bright with the original ceiling moldings and bay window seating area with its three opening windows. Featuring a “Historic Hotels” Stearns & Foster queen size sleep set with wrought iron bed frame. Bedding includes 400 thread count white cotton bed linens, both feather down & polyester duvet comforters and a selection of down and quallofil pillows. Arts & Crafts style dressers with a large bedroom closet and a hall closet provide extensive storage for all types & amounts of clothes. Modern conveniences include an 18” flat screen LCD TV/DVD player, alarm clock and thermostat controlled heating for added comfort and convenience.

The bathroom features the original large claw foot bath tub perfect for soaking and relaxing away the day’s stresses. The bath tub has been refinished and includes brand new chrome heritage tap & shower fixtures imported from Italy. There is a custom made vanity with granite counter top and porcelain sink. With a selection of quality white cotton bath towels, hand towels and face clothes. For your convenience, enjoyment and safety, we provide a hair dryer, beach towels and a First Aid Kit. Each suite is supplied with an independent water supply to ensure full water pressure and consistent temperature control.

There is a hall closet for hanging coats & jackets and any full length garments you may have. The closet contains a clothes iron, ironing board, vacuum, Swiffer, floor mop, broom & dustpan

Weekly rentals include weekly cleanings, and towels & linens laundry service. Monthly rates do not include cleaners, however, both cleaning & laundry services are available at a reasonable cost. Cleaning service ranges from $40 - $100 depending on which suite and frequency of cleaning. Laundry service rates are available by request.

Each suite comes equipped with a complete assortment of cleaning tools & supplies. Suite 101 features its own in-suite apartment sized washer and dryer. There is also a separate laundry room located on the ground floor. The laundry room features commercial size coin operated (2 x $1 coin) washer & dryer with complimentary laundry soap, bleach, stain remover and fabric softener.

Suite Policies

Rate Policies:
Room rates - Based on double occupancy.

Check-in/Check-out Policies:
Check-in Time: 4pm - 6pm, unless prior arrangements have been made in advance.
Check-out Time: 12pm, unless late check out arrangements have been made in advance.

Room Policies:
Children: Are by advance arrangement and subject to bedding requirements.
Smoking: Not permitted inside the building
Pets: Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate pets at this time.

Reservation Policies:
Minimum Stay: There is a 3-night minimum stay policy.
Reservation Deposit: To confirm a Reservation, 50% of the total is due once booking dates are confirmed. The remaining balance is payable 30 days prior to arrival.
Payments: Payments can be made by electronic bank transfer, PayPal, personal cheque, money order, traveler’s cheque or with cash. We also accept credit cards with a 2% surcharge.
Security: For new guests we ask for a faxed photocopy of your passport. or drivers license.

Cancellations & No Show Policies:
• If the reservation is canceled more than 30 days prior to the check-in date, there will be a $150.00 administration fee to cover banking and re-renting costs.
• If the reservation is canceled less than 30 days prior to the check-in date, guest will be charged the amount of one nights stay, unless the suite can be re-rented for the same dates.
• If the reservation is canceled less than 14 days prior to the check-in date, guest will be charged 50% of the rental amount, unless the suite can be re-rented for the same dates.
• No-Shows will be charged the full amount of their stay.

Noise & Privacy:
We respectfully ask that guests please keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 11:00 pm & 9:00 am. If you are coming and going during these hours, please avoid loud conversations on the front porch and in the common hall areas and please open and close doors as quietly as possible. We ask you to please respect other guests by not wearing hard-soled shoes & boots inside your suite.
